My Belt Doesn't Know What To Do

I realized something last night – my blue belt doesn’t listen to me when I put it on.

No.. seriously – it is stiff, and not worked in – it doesn’t really know which way to go, it keeps trying to fall off, because it doesn’t know what it’s doing.

That is exactly how I feel in class right now too; stiff, and like I don’t know what I’m doing or which direction I’m going.

My green belt was worked in and it knew which direction it needed to go in – there was some flow when I put it on and there wasn’t a lot of struggle… and it was comfortable.

My green belt used to be stiff and wouldn’t listen either – I just need to remember that these things take time.
