Black Belt

The I Ho Chuan team has helped me to push myself in many different ways. My goal has not changed, I want to become a black belt. I am getting stronger, more fit - but importantly is how i am integrating the values and lessons behind our training at the kwoon and into my own life.

A few months ago, I found myself getting really irritated with poor ethics from other staff members. Reading ‘Mastery’ by Stewart Emery was beneficial and still is. I don’t find myself getting as upset now. I am a hard worker and have high expectations of myself when it comes to the care I provide to my patients. Maybe i will inspire other staff members to work hard and be proud of the care they provide as well.

I have two kids that have been doing Kung fu since age 3. They are good kids and have empathy for others. I believe it is not just from parenting but from their training as well. I am glad to be part of this journey.

We all face obstacles but it is our choice to turn those obstacles into positive learning experiences.
