The Karma We Create
Since I work at a grocery store, I see and interact with a lot of people regularly. I find the varying degrees of attitudes I see very interesting. Some people are very kind and friendly, while others seem to just hate the world and need everyone to know. It makes no sense to me why someone would outwardly project so much negativity. I know when I have a rude customer it can be challenging to not be rude back. Which makes me realize the more negative energy these people put into the world, the more negative energy comes back to them. Which makes them even more negative, it’s a vicious cycle.
Then today I had a very interesting customer. He was one of the friendliest and nicest customers I have ever helped. The amount of positivity coming from him made me feel great, causing me naturally to open up more and be even kinder than normal. After I had helped him he told me that he had been having a really bad day, but my amazing service and kindness had made him feel way better. I was a little bit stunned thinking about it after. I normally try to be as kind and helpful as I can, but because of how kind he was I had gone the extra mile to give him the best service I could. Which as a result caused him to feel better. This was an awesome reminder for me of the important of one’s attitude. And how being positive brings more positivity back to you.
