Aversive
I crafted a training schedule that I want to grow into an effective training regime. 2 things are for certain: I have to breed confidence and tackle the things I am unconfident which will be done by doing the things I like and working on the things I don’t like, respectively. I titled my Wednesday training “Aversive Wednesday” and I did things that unsettle me, shake my nerves a bit because of my lack of skill in them. It turned out to be a lot of fun! Absolutely recommend looking at the things you’re uncomfortable with, putting on some great music, and familiarizing yourself with your capabilities.
Something worth noting is the difference between self-esteem and self-efficacy. Self-esteem is an overarching perception of your own worth, the extent to which you think you can be the best you. Whereas, self-efficacy addresses your confidence in ability, the extent to which you think you can do your best. With these brief descriptions it is apparent that self-esteem is crucial but it is encased by self-efficacy, so it is necessary to prove to yourself that you are capable of good things and then your worth will grow and now you can begin making those good things great.
In my mind, this is another articulation of mastery,
