Forms Syllabus

Everything we practice in kung fu is all about developing our six harmonies. Those six harmonies are: hands with feet, elbows with knees, shoulders with hips, spirit with intent, intent with chi, and chi with strength.

We may have seven stripes required to earn your next belt and only your white stripe is directly associated with the six harmonies, but everything we teach is tied to helping you develop a solid understanding of the six harmonies.

Your white stripe is all about perfecting your forms. Forms are the essence of the art of kung fu and they are the foundation upon which everything else you learn depends. If you want to become better at sparring - practice your forms. If you want to improve your conditioning - practice your forms. If you want to improve your self defence applications - practice your forms

To help direct our students in their practice, we are publishing our forms syllabus for your reference. Any form within parenthesis means the requirement for striping is your ability to shadow someone else doing the form. Any form without parenthesis means you must master the form without the assistance of a shadow.

This syllabus is a living syllabus so the belt to belt requirements may shift if we feel there is a way to serve our intended outcomes better.
