Children's Class Weekly Re-Cap, May 9-11, 2023

Lil’ Leopards

This week in the Lil’ Leopards class we practiced our shuttle runs in preparation for the Tiger Challenge. We also mixed in some animal running and animal postures.

Kung Fu At Home: Ask your child what the 5 animals of Kung Fu are.

Everyone focused on the Instructor. Discipline and respect at it’s finest.

Tiny Tigers

In Tiny Tigers this week we practiced teamwork and Dynamic Control by trying to walk with a partner while holding a ball between our backs, arms and hips! We also worked on some of the Tiger Challenge events with a contest to see what team was able to do the best animal postures and who was able to hold the crane stance the longest.

Kung Fu At Home: Ask your child to see how long they can hold a crane stance.

Group warmup with lots of kicks!

Young Dragons Level 1&2

For our Young Dragons classes we continued to work on our “takedown situation” and also spent time on our Lion Dancing. We focused on The 3 Bows, Unicorn Stepping and The Wave and even added the drumming patterns to our dance.

Kung Fu At Home: Ask your child what the drumming is called for The 3 Bows.
