Kinsmen Opportunity

The term “martial arts” has become common, assigned to anyone who trains on some sort of combat. However, what a true martial arts school teaches is well beyond just the skill to kick and punch.

Something that sets us apart from any other martial arts school around is our Intelligent Curriculum. Our number one objective is to teach our students confidence, discipline and respect for self and others. We work diligently to boost their self esteem so they have to ability to walk through this life proud of the marks they leave. To balance this, we also teach empathy and compassion. Confidence can tip into ego without awareness of how our actions affect the people around us.

We have wonderful leaders in this school. Several of our students have worked to provide us with yet another opportunity that will go far in developing our empathy and understanding, thereby helping us to develop into better martial artists.

As a school, we will be overseeing collection for the Kinsmen Christmas Hamper project. This is open to anyone 10+ years who would like to help out.

To sign up, you can follow this link to a google doc where you can add your name to the time slot of your choice. Alternately, you can reach out to your instructors. Time slots are broken into one hour increments; this provides the opportunity for multiple students to take advantage.

We do want to encourage the participation of our young students as well as adults. Parents, if your child wants to participate you do not need to sign yourself up (but you can if you want to!). We do ask that parents provide a contact number where you can be reached while your child is participating.

Additionally, for all of our students, including our younger students and their parents, we have the opportunity to provide the Kinsmen with donations of stocking stuffers, small gifts that the Kinsmen can give to the less fortunate in our community. A collection box will be located at the Kwoon where you can drop off your donations.

As always, if you have any questions please never hesitate to reach out to your instructors. In or after class, online, phone, email or text. We are always available to you.
